Stay away from trades, go to college and get laid.
When I started plumbing in 1985 all you needed was a pair of work boots, tape measure, and channel locks because most of the time was spent working a shovel digging trenches!

In the video it sounded like you said 8 oz hammer. It's a 16oz hammer, right?
I still use a plumb,a mason line,basic set of chisels,hacksaw,handsaw,.It all depends your specific job.I know plumbers,who are salesmen for big companies,so this differ vastly.
