i started off on the floor too. i made a welding cart to hold my welder and supplies out of some old bed rails and lawnmower wheels. i'm currently making a mobile welding table for on the go and i started with a fixed lens helmet. once i upgraded to an auto darkening, its soooo much easier to weld joints together. not to mention you reduce the chances of striking an arc while your lens is up. im still a beginner but hopefully i get better as i go.
